First unveiled during CES 2021, the ColdSnap appliance works similar to many coffee makers, as in it uses dry pods, but instead of a Cup of Joe, you get a fresh bowl of ice cream. It’s finally set to launch this spring, starting with the commercial market.
In addition to on-demand single servings of premium ice cream, ColdSnap can also make frozen lattes, protein shakes, smoothies, and frozen cocktails, all in two minutes or less. Best of all, you won’t even have to clean the machine, as food does not touch the hardware during freezing, mixing, or dispensing. Plus, no water lines or plumbing is required; just plug the machine into a standard 120V/15A outlet. There’s no word yet on pricing.
