CryZENx has just released a new gameplay video of his Zelda Ocarina of Time Zora’s River remake in Unreal Engine 5. Yes, this is the waterway found in the eastern part of Hyrule that connects Hyrule Field to Zora’s Domain and a transitional area between the open plains of Hyrule and the hidden realm of the Zora.
Fans of the game will already know that Zora’s River serves as a mandatory area to explore during Link’s quest, particularly as part of the main storyline involving the Zora tribe and the retrieval of the Spiritual Stone of Water (the Zora’s Sapphire). Unlike other remakes, which are essentially just cinematic show reels, CryZENx’s creation is a demo that you can actually download for free.

This is absolutely gorgeous! My only notes: the almost perfect 90° angles on all the ground/cliff edges really stand out though. I also found the blue posts everywhere very distracting. Lastly, the rope bridge looks like a solid road; impossible angles and no physics. But these are minimal nitpicks compared to how amazing this is–beautiful work, as always!,” said one cmomenter.
