DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Camera Reveal
Just 2-weeks after the NEO drone reveal, comes the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, a professional-level action camera with a 13.5-stop dynamic range, 4-hour battery life, as well as built-in subject centering and tracking.

Its next-generation 1/1.3” sensor with a 2.4 μm pixel size and a high dynamic range of up to 13.5 stops makes the Osmo Action 5 Pro the first action camera with specs that rival professional cameras. The device is capable of capturing images in 10-bit D-Log M while supporting hybrid log-gamma (HLG) high-brightness displays and the ability to shoot high-dynamic, low-light video at 4K/60fps. A single charge is good for 4-hours of continuous use, thanks to a lower power consumption 4nm chip, larger 1950mAh battery, and DJI’s proprietary algorithm that optimizes for energy savings. Most importantly, machine learning algorithms enable the camera to intelligently detect a subject’s position and dynamically adjust the composition to keep the subject centered in every frame. Plus, it boasts larger front and rear tempered glass OLED touchscreens with a peak brightness of 1000 cd/㎡ and 47GB of internal storage. Available now, priced from $349 USD.

By combining the image quality of a professional camera with the rugged durability of an action camera, we continue to innovate and set new standards for the industry. Creators have evolved, becoming more sophisticated in the stories they tell and the moments that they capture. Instead of making incremental improvements, we strive to push the entire action camera category forward and evolve with these creators,” said Paul Pan, Senior Product Line Manager at DJI.
