Bethesda Softworks revealed DOOM The Dark Ages today, their latest single-player action FPS coming in 2025, releasing on Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, PC and PlayStation 5. Players will be able to witness the origin of the Slayer’s rage as well as his rise from a kingdom’s last hope to Hell’s greatest fear in this pulse-pounding, cinematic prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal.
In addition to the Super Shotgun, there are several new weapons, including the face-shattering Flail and throwable Shield Saw. Players can also enter the cockpit of Atlan, a skyscraper-sized mech capable of toppling Hell’s behemoths with titanic metal fists. An exact release date has not yet been announced.
