Nintendo Power magazine was first published in July / August 1988 and its 24-year production run is one of the longest of all video game magazines in North America. You’ve probably come across a few at garage sales or vintage shops, but now all 285-issues are available online for download.
Before Nintendo Power, there was Nintendo Fan Club News, which was discontinued in mid-1988 after just seven issues. From the very beginning, Nintendo Power dedicated most of its content to game strategy, reviews and previews of upcoming games. Starting in 1998, Nintendo Power allowed outside advertising on its pages, previously reserved for Nintendo products only. Check them out here.
