Electric Honda Prelude Concept Japan Mobility Show
An all-electric Honda Prelude Concept made its debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 today, and it definitely has similar lines to its predecessors. This model will serve as a test bed for future models, all of which are set to inherit the “joy of driving” philosophy into the full-fledged electrified future.

The Honda Prelude was first introduced on November 24, 1978 and it borrowed several components from the first-generation Accord including its four-wheel independent struts, brakes, and engine. It was also the first Honda model to offer a power moonroof as standard equipment, which eventually became a Prelude trademark. Unfortunately, no concrete details were revealed about the two-door Honda Prelude Concept or if it will eventually go into production.

I have introduced some of the mobility products that embody Honda’s dreams, which represent the Honda of today and the future. But we know our customers are expecting one more thing from Honda, and that is sports models. At the automobile electrification business briefing we held last year, I talked about future sports models. Today, to conclude my presentation, I would like to show you one of them – the specialty sports model,” said Toshihiro Mibe, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Director, President and Representative.
