Electric Volkswagen ID. GTI Concept Reveal
We won’t ever see a production VW Golf GTI Roadster, but the all-electric Volkswagen ID. GTI Concept is set to become a reality and it will be priced less than $27,000 USD. The production model is based on Volkswagen’s modular electric drive (MEB) platform and scheduled to hit the roads in 2027.

There are no details on he actual powertrain or battery, but the interior should have a 12.9-inch main infotainment touchscreen as well as 10.9-inch driver screen. If it shares the same powertrain as the ID. 2all, the ID. GTI could have a range of up to 279 miles and either a 38kWh or 56kWh battery pack. Just for comparison, the ID. 2all is also expected to retail for less than $27,000.
