John may have only left the US Army 2-days ago, but that didn’t stop him from building one of the coolest FedEx step van conversions you’ve ever seen. For those who don’t know, this step van weighs between 1 – 2 tons and are often utilized by government agencies, specifically during disaster recovery efforts, or in this case, for deliveries.
This particular step van is a 1998 Chevriolet Grumman Olson, powered by a GM 5.7L (350CID) V8 engine, mated to an automatic transmission. As you can see, the full-length shelving where packages typically would be stored, has been removed, and in its place, you’ll find a mini refrigerator, stand-up shower, lots of storage space, a full-sized microwave, kitchenette, two roof vents, a lounge area, and most importantly, a comfortable place to sleep.
