You’ve seen the GEN3, now check out what Formula E’s GENBETA race car can do indoors. Piloted by British driver Jake Hughes of the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team, the GENBETA managed to set a Guinness World Record for the fastest speed achieved by a vehicle indoors after hitting 135.9 mph (218.71 km/h).
What is GENBETA? It’s essentially an unlocked GEN3 race car, which already has a top speed of over 200 mph (322 km/h), and used by the 11 teams in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Some of the modifications for GENBETA include increasing battery output to 400kW, up from 350kW in the GEN3, through the activation of the front powertrain kit in traction, while also delivering all-wheel drive for the first time in a Formula E car.
