Freedom Wing Adapter Wheelchair Xbox Controller
AbleGamers teamed up with ATmakers to develop The Freedom Wing Adapter, which is essentially an accessory that transforms power wheelchairs into functional Xbox game controllers. AbleGamers is offering it for free, provided that you already have an Xbox Adaptive Controller. How does it work? It connects the Xbox Adaptive Controller to a wheelchair through a 9-pin port, thus turning the joystick into a gaming controller. Read more for a video of it in-action and additional information.

Freedom Wing may not work brilliantly with all games (first person shooters, etc.), but as you can see in the video above, Rocket League is definitely one title you’ll be able to enjoy. The total cost to make one yourself should be around $30 to $35 and it won’t require any technical expertise to put together.
