Google Glass Successor Project Astra AI
We may soon see a Google Glass successor, as a prototype device was teased in the company’s new video demonstrating its Project Astra AI agent app. The person asked Gemini if they remembered where they placed their glasses, and from the quick glimpse, we can see a camera as well as a custom visual interface.

Why would smartglasses be useful when using Project Astra? Well, the AI agent is capable of understanding and responding to the world like real humans do, all the while taking in and remembering what it sees as well as hears to understand context, before taking action. You can also talk to Astra naturally without experiencing any lag. For those interested, it’s coming to Google’s Gemini app later this year.
