Google Maps Police Catch Gioacchio Gammino Mobster Gangster
Notorious mobster turned fugitive Gioacchino Gammino has been on the run for nearly 20-years after breaking out of Rome’s Rebibbia prison. Since then, he’s fled to Spain, changed his name, and then started a new life, or so he thought. Nicola Altiero, deputy director of the Italian anti-mafia police unit (DIA), said that Gammino has been successfully detained in Spain and they hope to bring him back to Italy by the end of February. Gammino is a member of a Sicilian mafia group dubbed Stidda, and had been serving a life sentence for a murder committed in the 90s.
