Google has just launched the Pixel 10 Pro alongside the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro XL, marking 10 years of Google’s smartphone journey. Available to pre-order now and in stores on August 28, this latest flagship feels like a conversation with a smart friend.
Crafted with care, the Pixel 10 Pro has a 6.3-inch OLED Super Actua display with 1280 x 2856 resolution and a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The larger Pixel 10 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch panel with 1344 x 2992 resolution and the same refresh rate. Both screens hit 3,300 nits of peak brightness so you can use it in the sun. The design is familiar Google – rounded corners, central camera bar and metallic “G” logo on the back. Available in Moonstone (a cool blue-gray), Jade (a soft green with golden hints), Porcelain (white) and Obsidian (black), it’s premium but approachable with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Qi2 magnetic wireless charging and a suite of Pixelsnap accessories like cases and a ring stand makes charging as easy as snapping a puzzle piece into place. At 199g and 8.5mm thick, it’s slightly bigger than the last one but the extra weight is from the larger 4,870 mAh battery which gives you over 30 hours of use.

The Pixel 10 Pro is powered by the new Tensor G5 chip, Google’s first custom silicon built on TSMC’s 3nm process. With 16GB of RAM, it’s 60% faster in TPU and 34% faster in CPU compared to the Tensor G4 so app launches and web browsing feel snappier. Storage options are 128GB to 1TB, 256GB and above uses UFS 4.0 for faster read/write speeds. The chip is efficient in daily use and with the Titan M2 security chip, it’s secure. Running Android 16, it introduces Material 3 Expressive, a UI that feels fluid with springy animations and customizable lock screen effects. 7 years of OS updates and Pixel Drops will keep it fresh and a year-long Google AI Pro subscription gives you advanced AI features and 2TB of cloud storage.
Photography is at the heart of the Pixel experience and the 10 Pro doesn’t let you down. The triple camera system—a 50MP main (f/1.68), 48MP ultrawide (f/1.7, 123° FOV), and 48MP telephoto (f/2.8, 5x optical zoom)—is the same as the Pixel 9 Pro but with better software. The 42MP front camera takes sharp selfies with a 103° field of view. Pro Res Zoom, exclusive to the Pro models, uses the Tensor G5 and a new generative AI model to get 100x zoom detail rivaling the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Camera Coach, powered by Gemini, is like a personal photography tutor giving you real time tips on framing and composition. Portrait mode now goes up to 50MP and Add Me is now for pets so you can get group shots with your furry friends. C2PA Content Credentials, processed on device, gives you transparency on image origins and edits in an AI world. Video recording gets better stabilization and 10-bit at 1080p or 4K 30fps and low light performance is improved with the G5’s new Image Signal Processor.
AI is baked into the Pixel 10 Pro so it feels like it knows you. Magic Cue is a standout feature that surfaces relevant info across apps like Google Messages, Phone and Maps. Need your flight details during a call with an airline? Magic Cue pulls them from your Gmail without missing a beat. It runs on device with Gemini Nano so it’s private and offline. Other AI features include voice translation during calls, music creation in the Pixel Recorder app and a new voicemail system that filters spam. Pixel Journal guides you through reflective writing and Gemini Live can analyze your camera feed to give you real time solutions.Battery and charging get a boost. The Pixel 10 Pro’s 4,870 mAh battery supports 30W wired charging (55% in 30 minutes) and 15W Qi2 wireless charging. The Pro XL’s 5,200 mAh battery goes up to 45W wired (70% in 30 minutes) and 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging, matching modern flagships. Both get over 30 hours of use and an Extreme Battery Saver mode that gets you 100 hours. The removal of the physical SIM tray in US models, for dual eSIM, simplifies the design but may disappoint traditionalists. Pixelsnap accessories make charging better with a MagSafe-like charger and stand that ensures perfect coil alignment.
Priced at $999 for 128GB, the Pixel 10 Pro scales to $1,449 for 1TB, while the Pro XL starts at $1,199 for 256GB, topping out at $1,549 for 1TB. These prices align with last year’s Pixel 9 Pro, though the XL’s base model doubles the storage for the same cost.
