Google Pixel 4 Face Unlock
Google has just announced a few new features coming to their upcoming Pixel 4 smartphone that’s expected to be announced in October, including Soli radar technology that the company has been working on for the past 5-years. Soli also enables facial recognition that will be as secure as Apple’s Face ID, but more efficient and seamless. How so? Pixel 4 won’t require you to place the phone directly in front of your face, but rather Soli “proactively turns on the face unlock sensors, recognizing that you may want to unlock your phone. If the face unlock sensors and algorithms recognize you, the phone will open as you pick it up, all in one motion.” Best of all, it works in almost any orientation, including upside down.
