Hands-On iPhone 17 Pro Clear Case
A video surfaced on social media, shared by Sonny Dickson, showing what appears to be an iPhone 17 Pro Clear Case. This isn’t the glossy, perfect packaging you’d find in an Apple Store, but rather a rough-around-the-edges replica of what’s to come.

First off, the case’s defining feature: it’s not clear. Unlike previous clear cases, this one has a big white patch on the back. The translucent edges are there, so you can see the iPhone’s frame, but the bulk of the back is white. It’s a big change, almost like Apple is redefining what clear means. The white section covers the MagSafe magnetic ring, which is usually visible as a small circle in older clear cases.

Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro is expected to get rid of the camera mound for a wider, horizontal camera bar and this case reflects that. The cutout goes across the top and looks big enough to accommodate a much larger camera module. In the video, the person handling the case runs their finger along the edge and you can see how big the cutout is, hinting at the phone’s 48MP triple-camera setup. It’s a practical design move so the case doesn’t interfere with the cameras but it also makes the case look bigger than the previous ones.

MagSafe is front and center. The white panel may obscure the magnetic ring visually but it doesn’t seem to affect functionality. The video doesn’t show a phone being attached but the case design aligns with Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem, with precise cutouts for the charging coil and Camera Control crystal. This crystal, a white strip in the video, is likely tied to the iPhone 17 Pro’s new camera features, possibly for quick settings adjustments.

The holes at the bottom of the case catch the eye. These aren’t random—they’re for Apple’s rumored Crossbody Strap accessory. The video shows these dual cutouts, one on each side of the charging port, so you can loop a strap through for hands-free carrying. It’s a small but clever addition, in line with leaks about Apple’s more modular accessory ecosystem. The person in the clip doesn’t attach a strap but the holes are prominent, so the case is as much about utility as it is about style.

Material-wise the case looks like the typical hard polycarbonate we’ve seen in Apple’s clear cases but the video is a knockoff so it’s hard to judge the quality. It flexes slightly under the handler’s grip but not enough to seem cheap or brittle. There’s talk in leaks about Apple solving the yellowing issue with clear cases, possibly with a new coating. The video doesn’t go into that but the case’s finish looks smooth, if a bit fingerprint prone as the handler’s smudges are faintly visible under the light.
