Hennessey Performance Engineering is known for upgrading muscle cars and trucks to unheard of power levels, and their latest project is no exception. Meet the Hennessey Performance HPE850 Camaro ZL1 1LE. Just for reference, itt comes equipped with a supercharged Corvette Z06-sourced V8 engine that makes 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque straight from the factory.
The HPE850 package boosts output to 850 hp and 860 lb-ft of torque, mated to a TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Upgrades include high-flow cylinder heads, a high-flow heat exchanger upgrade, high-flow air induction system, long-tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, a custom Hennessey camshaft, new valve springs lifters / push rods / valves, and a quad exhaust system. All of this enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.7-seconds, while topping out at 135 mph. For even more power, you’ll need the Hennessey VENOM 1000.
