Carrie Fisher Return of the Jedi Princess Leia

Many people have stopped reading magazines and books in favor of their digital versions, but back in 1983, a Rolling Stone magazine issue with Carrie Fisher promoting Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as Slave Leia was a worldwide sensation. According to Marvel comic book artist J. Scott Cambell, there is some bad news: “Disney is already well on it’s [sic] way to wiping out the ‘slave’ outfit from any future products period. You will NOT see and [sic] future merchandising featuring the slave outfit ever again. Trust me. I’ve heard it from two sources. We can’t even draw Leia in a sexy pose at Marvel, let alone in that outfit! We also had a 3-D SL statue killed at a major manufacturer because there will no longer be any SL merchandise.” Continue reading for more images.
