How a Pinball Machine Works
The Slow Mo Guys are back at it again, and this time, they show us how a Willy Wonka pinball machine works in ultra slow motion. These used to be found at video arcades, pizza parlors, and shopping malls worldwide, but now, are limited to restaurant / entertainment venues, like Dave & Buster’s. Many modern machines include a “storyline” where the player must complete certain objectives in a certain fashion to complete the story, usually earning high scores for different methods of completing tasks, including bonus games.

This particular collector’s edition pinball machine features four flippers, six balls, a captive ball, seven magnets, a Wonkavator Super Ball Lock, spinning Everlasting Gobstopper, Red Most Secret Machine, Oompa Loompa camera sculpture, stereo headphone jack, 7” Wonkavision™ LCD, a 27” HD LCD screen with interactive 3D animations, and candy-colored LED light shows.

This game is probably right now the pinnacle of what you can create in the 21st century as a pinball machine… this game is going to show everyone how deep the pinball world can still go,” said Pat Lawlor, designer of Dialed In!, Twilight Zone, and over a dozen other classic pinball games.
