Can a Hyundai IONIQ 5 N beat a Lamborghini Aventador SV in a drag race? Mat Watson of CarWow wanted to find out, so he called up his friend and car wrapping specialist Yianni Charalambous, to bring his supercar down to an air field.
The Italian supercar is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 engine making 740 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque, mated to a single-clutch, 7-speed automated manual transmission, enabling it to hit 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. Mat Watson piloted the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, which draws power from two electric motors producing a combined 641 hp and 568 lb-ft. On paper, both vehicles seem to be evenly matched, power wise, but you have to keep in mind that the Lamborghini Aventador SV LP750-4 weighs 3,868 pounds, while the EV tips the scale at 4,861 pounds.
