Insta360 is working on a new action camera, allegedly the Go 4S, as recent leaks show. Thanks to leaker Igor Bogdanov who has shared images and details about what could be the latest in Insta360’s line of small cameras, we get a possible first glimpse.
Bogdanov first showed images of an unreleased Insta360 camera last month, then more footage of the device in public use. These sightings suggest the camera is almost ready but Insta360 has not commented on the project yet.

The Go 4S naming fits Insta360’s weird release pattern, like releasing the Flow 2 Pro before the Flow 2 this year. The Go 3S, released in June 2024 for $400, had 4K video, 33ft waterproofing and Apple Find My. A Go 4S could add higher video resolution, longer battery life or better connectivity.
Images show a cube shaped camera, slightly bigger than the Go 3S but still pocket sized. A front facing shutter button is visible for quick use. There’s also a wireless charging accessory, which could make recharging easier than the Go 3S’s system. Unlike the Go 3S’s modular Action Pod which had a screen and extra battery, this camera might have a more integrated design.
The Go series is known for its wearables, mountables and durable design, perfect for diving or skateboarding. A non-modular Go 4S could appeal to users who want simplicity over customization, with possible upgrades in audio or touch controls and smartphone app integration for editing and framing.
Competition is heating up with DJI’s upcoming Osmo Nano, a modular compact camera, set to challenge Insta360’s Go series. Leaks show the Osmo Nano might be bigger but both brands target vloggers, athletes and social media creators who want lightweight and high quality gear. With DJI’s Osmo 360 announced for July 31, 2025, Insta360 might rush the Go 4S release to stay competitive.
While details are still unknown, the camera’s public appearances suggest Insta360 is in late stage testing. Bogdanov’s track record and the camera’s public use point to an announcement possibly by late summer, following Insta360’s annual update pattern.
