Jared Isaacman First Private Spacewalk SpaceX Polaris Dawn
Billionaire Jared Isaacman has successfully completed the first private civilian spacewalk in history as part of the SpaceX Polaris Dawn crew. After the Crew Dragon Resilience launched ) atop a Falcon 9 rocket that lifted off from the historic Launch Complex-39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Isaacman exited the capsule at about 6:48 a.m. EDT.



Isaacman was joined by pilot Scott “Kidd” Poteet” and mission specialists Sarah Gillis as well as Anna Menon, both SpaceX team members. He, along with Gillis, performed a series of spacesuit mobility checks as SpaceX recorded breathtaking live views of the two astronauts standing up with most of their bodies outside the spacecraft.
