If Jim Carrey’s Ace Ventura was a character in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt video game, it would probably look like this edit from eli_handle_b. For those who have never seen the movie from 1994, Ace is basically a private detective specializing in the retrieval of missing animals and a laughing stock to the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Instead of seeing Ace in his apartment alongside many different animals, all of whom hide from his landlord, Mr. Shickadance, we see him in the Continent, a fictional fantasy world based on Slavonic mythology. Rather than animals, Ace interacts with humans, elves, dwarves, monsters and all of the other creatures that co-exist on the Continent. Fortunately, the pet detective isn’t caught up in the war between the empire of Nilfgaard.
