The Witcher Remake Unreal Engine 5
CD Projekt Red is currently working on The Witcher Remake in Unreal Engine 5, but TeaserPlay just couldn’t wait, so they came up with a fan trailer that might actually look better than the real game. Not much is known about the game, codenamed ‘Canis Majoris’, although it’s rumored to be released either in late 2024 or early 2025.

There will most likely be some updates to the storyline, which in the original from 2007, takes place in a medieval fantasy world and follows Geralt of Rivia. As many already know, he is one of the few traveling monster hunters who have supernatural powers, better known as Witchers. You can choose from one of three fighting styles to use in different situations and against different enemies. Players can switch between the styles at any point, while both of Geralt’s main swords also have distinctively different combat styles from other weaponry, and serve specific purposes.

Using Lumen, Nanite and Ray Tracing, we tried to give the overall picture of this remake and clarify the expectations of the fans from it for the developers,” said TeaserPlay.
