After the leak a few days ago, the LEGO Group today officially announced the LEGO Ideas (21331) Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone set. Put simply, this is an extremely detailed brick representation of one of the most popular video game levels ever, designed by 24-year-old, UK based LEGO superfan Viv Grannell. Consisting of 1,125-pieces, complete with five minifigures that include an updated version of Sonic, Crabmeat, Moto Bug, Dr. Eggman and the Phantom Ruby, you also get 10 boxes of golden-colored Rings as well as a Technic lever that acts as a spring to launch characters into the air. Plus, fans can also earn a gem reward as the build the set. Available January 1, 2022, priced at $69.99 USD directly from the LEGO Store.
