Can the all-electric Lotus Eletre R beat the Lamborghini Urus Performante super SUV in a drag race? Mat Watson of CarWow teamed up with Yianni to find out at an empty air field.
The 5,489 pound Lotus Eletre R EV is powered by dual electric motors that generate a combined 905 hp and 726 lb-ft of torque, mated to a two-speed transmission, enabling it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds. As for the 4,740 pound Lamborghini Urus Performante, it draws power from a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine generating 657 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, helping it hit 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. We won’t spoil the results, but will say that Lamborghini really needs to build a Urus EV.
