Sleek and stylish, the 2025 Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed officially made its public debut at the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend. Why? The open-top vehicle comes equipped with a HALO system that replaces the conventional A-pillar, and has been part of every Formula 1 vehicle since 2018.
Power comes from an AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine producing 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission, helping it accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 196 mph. Each one of the 250 production units come with a pair of aerodynamically optimized helmets designed and manufactured specifically for the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed that have built-in intercom communication system. Pricing and US availability have not yet been announced.

The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is the most direct way to experience performance and fun at the wheel. Thanks to the car’s radically open design with no roof or windscreen, nothing separates the driver and passenger from the elements, allowing them to fully appreciate the vehicle, the road and the landscape with all their senses,” said Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
