Smooth, futuristic, and super practical, the Mercedes-Benz Vision V concept shows what fancy electric luxury vans could be like, built on the flexible Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA). This concept aims at the high-end market, wanting to make electric vans stylish, roomy, and packed with tech for private buyers, VIP shuttles, or even limousine services.
The VAN.EA platform was made just for electric vehicles, with a three-part setup (front, middle, back) that can work for midsize or large vans. It uses an 800-volt system for super-fast charging (up to 320 kW possible), and the Vision V comes with a single motor (front-wheel drive) or dual motors (all-wheel drive). Top models promise a range of over 311 miles, thanks to batteries bigger than 100 kWh. Plus, a solar roof with 168 cells (24.3% efficient, 539 watts) can make up to 3.44 kWh a day in sunny weather, adding about 14 miles of range.

Outside, the Vision V looks sleek and modern, with short overhang, a swept-back windshield, and a tapering roofline ending in a spoiler, moving away from the usual boxy van shape. It’s got a “shield-like” chrome grille with 200 LED bars and 190 glowing glass slats around the headlights. Finishing off the exterior are 24-inch monoblock wheels with lit-up slats and a big glass tailgate framed by 450 LED slats for taillights and signals.

The real star is the interior, called the “Private Lounge” for its two back passengers, with comfy business-class recliners in white Nappa leather, silk, and open-pore walnut wood, plus flexible cushions and shiny aluminum bases. A 65-inch movie screen pops up from the floor, paired with a 42- or 45-speaker sound system for a theater-like feel.

A special electrochromic glass divider between the driver and passengers can go from see-through to solid for privacy. The fancy touches keep going with soft lighting, a scent system, crystal decanters, and a glass chess set to make it feel extra luxurious.
The Vision V is the beginning of a new era for Mercedes‑Benz Vans. It demonstrates, in the truest sense of the word, how we bring luxury to a spacious cabin and define a new segment. With that, we set standards in design, comfort and an immersive user experience –while meeting the highest demands of our customers,” said Thomas Klein, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans.
