Meta Quest Pro VR Headset Reveal
Mark Zuckerberg revealed the Meta Quest Pro VR headset after months of leaks today at Meta Connect. Available October 25th, priced at $1,499.99 USD, it features high-resolution outward-facing cameras capable of capturing four times as many pixels as Meta Quest 2, thus making the Meta Quest Pro the company’s first full-color mixed reality device.

It also has pancake lenses that fold light over several times, reducing the size of the headset while showing sharper visuals, while a curved battery on the back helps make Meta Quest Pro a more balanced headset overall. Plus, inward-facing sensors are used to capture natural facial expressions and eye tracking, whether it be raising an eyebrow, smiling or just making eye contact with someone. However, you’ll still need a 3D-printer to create a full-sized Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton.

Meta Quest Pro was designed with productivity in mind and will be a major upgrade for those who use VR as a tool for work, but hardware is only part of the equation. We’re equally focused on creating and supporting software that improves the way you work,” said the company.
