MINISFORUM V3 is claimed to be the world’s first tablet powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8040 series processor, which means that it is a 28-watt chip with 8 CPU cores, 16 threads, base/max boost frequencies of 3.3 GHz or 5.1 GHz, and AMD Radeon 780M integrated graphics.
This 3-in-1 tablet can be configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM, a 2TB M.2 PCIe SSD, 2 x USB 4 ports, a USB Type-C VLink (DP-In) port, an SD card reader, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and a 50.82 Wh battery. It also has a dedicated neural processing unit for on-device AI functions such as Windows Studio Effects for video calls. Pre-orders are set to begin in Q1 2024, but there’s no word yet on pricing or availability.
