Nike Joyride Run

Nike’s Joyride Run Flyknit want to put more bounce in your step, and from most angles, it looks like any other running shoe, but its cushioned soles are embedded with something you don’t see everyday. To be more specific, the soles houses responsive pods that each contain thousands of tiny red and blue TPE beads, separated into sections that allow them to expand multi-directionally as you walk or run. It’s claimed to to create a more personalized and unique experience for each runner. Read more for another video, additional pictures and information.



After Flyknnit, Nike plans on expanding the new cushioning platform into other styles of shoes including the women’s-exclusive Nike Joyride NSW Optik and the Nike Joyride Kids Nova, designed for young athletes. They’re available today, priced at $180, for Nike Members, otherwise, you can snag grab a pair beginning on August 15th.

“Joyride is engineered to help keep legs fresh. [Its] unique sensation is almost like running on bubbles as the shoes offer great impact absorption in a surprisingly light, energy-returning package,” said Nike in a news release.
