It’s no Wii XL, but this extremely rare Nintendo Entertainment System M6 demo kiosk has already reached $2,375 at auction, with a little over nine days left to go. This store-exclusive console let customers quickly switch between 16 games, but without the need for cartridges, as the game chips themselves were installed directly on the hardware.
The seller confirms that the unit is working, although a bit dusty due to the age, since it was first introduced back in 1986. A few caveats: there are some missing screws and the first player controller base cable shielding is beginning to separate. However, with some professional restoration work, some Nintendo fans may be able to relive their childhood dreams of using this kiosk at stores like EB Games, Babbage’s, etc. More information here.
