Nintendo The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Map LEGO 25,000 Bricks
First released in 1986, The Legend of Zelda is set in the fantasy land of Hyrule and is centered around Link, who aims to collect the eight fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom in order to rescue Princess Zelda from the antagonist, Ganon. Gamer Ian Roosma wanted to pay tribute to the title with its 36th anniversary coming up, so he spent 4-months building Hyrule using 25,000 LEGO bricks.

How did this idea come about? Well, there was a blank spot on one of Roosma’s walls at home, and only custom artwork would fill that space. What he ended up with was a 30.2″ x 85.7″ LEGO mural consisting of 25,000 bricks, including 493 enemies and 2,779 trees. Depending on the popularity of this piece, we may see a followup sooner than later.

LEGO Super Mario Nintendo Entertainment System 71374 Gameplay Building Set, Model Kits for Adults to...
  • Build an interactive, 1980s-style TV set displaying the classic Super Mario Bros. game & activate it with LEGO Mario figure (not included)
  • Authentic details of the NES console are recreated in LEGO style, including a controller and an opening slot for the buildable Game Pak
  • The TV has a handle-operated scrolling screen, Mario figure reacts to the on-screen enemies, obstacles and power-ups when placed on the top

Zelda on the NES is particularly nostalgic for me because it was the beginning of open-world games for me. The developer just drops the player off somewhere and you decide where you want to go and what you want to do, it’s the best type of game,” said Roosma to Kotaku.
