Finally, after months of waiting, Nintendo has released ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ teaser trailer and we get to hear Chris Pratt’s Mario voice for the very first time. There will be many other famous names in this film, including Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), Seth Rogen (Donkey Kong), and Sebastian Maniscalco (Foreman Spike).
Production on this film started back in September 2020, with the animation being handled by Illumination Studios Paris, which has animated The Secret Life of Pets, Sing, The Grinch, and most recently, Minions: The Rise of Gru. If ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ is a success, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa stated that there would be more animated films based on the franchise. This film is set to hit theaters on April 7, 2023 in the US and April 28, 2023 in Japan.
