This ultra rare PC Engine Shuttle game console from 1989 was only released in Japan, just like the PC Engine LT, so any used examples will set you back a pretty penny. Fortunately, Tito Perez of Macho Nacho Productions was able to find one for a reasonable price.
What set the PC Engine Shuttle apart from its predecessors is the lack of a rear expansion port, which was mainly used to connect a CD-ROM drive. This meant the console was only compatible with HuCards. It was marketed towards the younger crowd with its space shuttle-inspired design and lower price tag. Despite not having an expansion port, the console is significantly larger than the PC Engine and came packaged with a single Turbo Pad II controller.
