Your eyes aren’t playing tricks, the Pinecone Treehouse by O2 Treehouse is real, and can be yours for the right price. Its located in a forest in Oakland, and features a geodesic dome shape that is constructed from steel as well as magnificent California redwood. The exterior has been fitted with multiple glazed panels to make it look like a real pinecone’s scales. Inside, you’ll find kaleidoscope-inspired symmetrical windows, a sleeping area, an indoor/outdoor bathroom and a wooden catwalk to connect both. The current owners will accept no less than $150,000 and the sale would include the pinecone structure, bathroom, and the catwalk. However, the final cost cannot be determined at this time, since it would all depend on where the structure would needed to be transported and installed.

“Once inside, the petal-like windows offer views into the surrounding canopy and the floors feature see-through panels to make you feel like you’re floating almost 60 feet above the ground. That’s a lot of money for a treehouse, to be sure, but who can put a price on serenity? The Pinecone Treehouse looks to be an ideal meditation or yoga retreat in the sky,” said Curbed.
