During the Pokémon Presents showcase, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, unveiled Pokémon UNITE, a new multiplayer online battle arena game for the Nintendo Switch and other mobile devices. This is the first strategic Pokémon team battle game where players face off against each other in five-on-five team battles. Read morefor a trailer and additional information.
During these battles, players will collaborate with teammates to catch wild Pokémon, level up and evolve their own characters. They will need to defeat their opponents’ Pokémon while trying to earn more points than the opposing team within the given time. Best of all, the game is free-to-start. The game is also being developed in partnership with Tencent Games’ TiMi Studios.
