Automotive designer Ugur Sahin has a habit of drawing cars that Porsche executives wish they had thought of sooner. From his workshop in the Netherlands, this digital artist turns idle what-ifs into sparkling visions, and his latest creation, the Porsche 960 GT RS, is not an official idea, but a secret challenge.
Sahin calls this a self-started project, born from late nights and a deep love for Porsche’s GT heritage. The 918 set the bar in 2013, combining hybrid power with track-ready precision in a car that now sells for eight figures at auction.

The 960 GT RS has gullwing doors that open wide, a nod to drama without excess. Sahin stretches the 918’s shape forward, resulting in a low-slung body that slices through the air like a razor. The front end wraps itself around thin LED signatures whose lines are so fine they almost disappear until night brings them to life, while dual exhaust tips sit centered at the back.
Sahin sums it up in a recent post: to carry the 918’s spirit into the next decade, to honor the engineering that gets the chest and the brain. Concave alloy wheels with a turbine pattern grip the road while referencing Porsche’s legacy of lightweight solutions.
Performance is still yet to be explored, waiting to be unleashed in measured doses—possibly more than the 918’s 887 horsepower, but Sahin leaves the numbers to the engineers. Sustainable power is always discussed, with hybrid underpinnings that sip gasoline on the highway and surge when the twisties call.
