Is a Porsche Taycan Turbo GT faster than the Tesla Model S Plaid and Audi RS E-Tron GT? That is a question that many EV enthusiasts have, and Mat Watson, along with a couple friends, hope to answer in CarWow’s latest drag racing showdown.
Priced from $230,000 USD, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has two electric motors making 1,019 hp and 914 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 60 mph in just 1.9 seconds. Next, we have the Audi RS E-Tron GT equipped with dual electric motors generating 911 hp and 612 lb-ft of torque, helping the EV accelerate from 0-60 mph in a mere 2.9 seconds. Last, but not least, the tri-motor Tesla Model S Plaid makes 1,020 hp and 1,047 lb-ft of torque.

I own the e-tron GT (1st gen) and in over 50.000 km on the Autobahn I never felt too slow, so once I’ll upgrade I will go for the RS version, but I will not go for the performance. Of course it is great fun to watch a comparison like that, but in real life you will be happy with the performance of each car and at the end I pick the most beautiful one,” said one commenter.
