Remember the Batplane from Tim Burton’s Batman? Well, one fan decided to build a miniature remote-controlled Batwing that wouldn’t look out of place in a future film, thanks to the magic of 3D printing.
Aside from the 3D-printed parts, this remote-controlled Batwing features an internal electric ducted fan (EDF) to generate a high amount of thrust, while elevons are used for control. Two small vertical stabilizer fins are not only used for aesthetics, but enable the craft to fly without the need for a flight controller. Want to build your own? Get the STL files here.

I’ve been on the Batw#ng journey for about 20 years. Started as a foam board flying version, moved to a carved foam EDF version and a few others that were unsuccessful along the way. I’m so happy to say I’ve fulfilled my dream of making a semi scale version finally fly,” said its creator.
