Renault Megane E-Tech LG IVI Infotainment System
LG Electronics’ next-generation In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system wants to give the competition a run for its money, as it is set to debut in the new 2022 Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric. Based on Google Android Automotive, it’s the first software developed by LG utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), which operates independently from the vehicle’s hardware to provide a variety of convenience-enhancing features such as the ability to update the operating system over-the-air as well as remotely checking vehicle charging status.

This IVI is also the first system based on Android 10 to receive certification from Google Automotive Services (GAS), complete with intelligent infotainment services and easy access to various Google apps including Google Assistant, Google Maps as well as Google Play via the Center Information Display (CID). The ultra intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMI) and convenient user experience leverages LG’s growing capabilities as a vehicle solutions provider to meet the diverse needs of the road today.
