RE Biohazard has been working on a Resident Evil 1 remake in Unreal Engine 5 for nearly a year now, and the team has just released a video showing what Spencer Mansion looks like with modern graphics. For those unfamiliar with this mansion, it served as a country club for Umbrella Corporation executives and was primarily used as office space for the underground Arklay Laboratory complex, before an outbreak of t-Virus.
The team behind this remake stated last year that the project would stay mostly true to the original, as the classic style of gameplay will be respected and move at the same pace. Plus, the playable game will be 100% fixed camera. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on when a demo is going to be released.
