A fan-made Resident Evil 4 demake is coming soon, and it looks just like a PlayStation 1 game. Think of it as Resident Evil 4 characters dropped into Resident Evil 2, including locked camera angles and even an animated loading screen. There’s no word yet on when a playable demo will be released, but from the gameplay footage so far, it looks like the game will start right before the ‘Big Cheese’ encounter.
For those who have never played Resident Evil 2, the game’s protagonists may be equipped with firearms, but limited ammunition adds a tactical element to weapon use. Players also carry a limited number of items, and must store others in boxes placed throughout the game world, where they may later be retrieved. A protagonist may be joined by a support partner during the course of the story in certain scenes, and occasionally become playable. If you prefer a more modern look, there’s this Resident Evil 4 remake in Unreal Engine.
- The console is also decorated with images of recognizable characters: Tom Nook and Nooklings Timmy and Tommy
- Includes a Switch console, Switch dock, Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R), and two Joy-Con strap accessories
- Game not included
