The rumors are true, the PS5 version of Capcom’s Resident Evil Village is heading to PlayStation VR2. Development aims to bring the story campaign in its entirety to be playable in virtual reality. Not many details have been revealed, but we do know that this title will take full advantage of the headset’s 4K HDR display, PSVR2’s eye tracking, PlayStation 5’s 3D Audio and more.
Players will be able to immerse themselves in Dimitrescu Castle, starting with its exquisite chandeliers to the textures of its furnishings, In virtual reality, you’ll be able to feel the castle’s inhabitants’ presence in an eerie way as they stalk you through its hallways, especially Lady D. The PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers represent each hand in-world, enabling you to guard using both of your arms or hold up a weapon. Add in a Virtuix Omni One VR treadmill and you’ll get a real workout.
