Richard Mille RM UP-01 Ferrari Thinnest Watch
Limited to 150-units and priced at a hefty $1.88-million, the Richard Mille RM UP-01 Ferrari is now the world’s thinnest watch. This luxurious timepiece draws inspiration from the dashboard of the Maranello supercar and is all bezel. It measures 51 mm across and 39 mm in breadth, with an elegant sapphire-covered central dial that shows the time, flanked by two integrated crowns on the right, while Ferrari’s iconic logo can be seen on the left.

Don’t let its 1.18mm thickness fool you, the RM UP-01’s movement plate has been tested to withstand accelerations of over 5,000Gs with a power reserve of 45 hours. The entire movement plate was assembled within the case instead of a case back, which also acts as a baseplate. There are 23 jewels in the movement and the watch itself is water resistant up to 10m (32.8ft). Unfortunately, you may find knockoffs of this watch sooner than later, just like this Suzuki SC100 GX turned Ferrari F40.

The new patented, ultraflat escapement eliminates both parts and resituates the banking function directly on the anchor fork. To do so, the fork itself was elongated and its horns modified,” said Richard Mille.
