First released on the Nintendo 64 nearly 25-years-ago (February 14, 2000) in North America, Ridge Racer 64 was actually the first title of Namco’s Ridge Racer series to not be found in arcades or on a PlayStation console, with the company licensing the series to Nintendo to develop the game.

There are a total of 20 race tracks, including some drawn from Ridge Racer and Ridge Racer Revolution. Players can choose from four different vehicles to start, but there are a total of 32 in the game that can be unlocked, including the infamous Atomic Purple, based off the Mercedes-Benz Lotec C1000. What a great addition. I’m currently enjoying playing through the Ridge racer games, re-visiting my childhood. Now, it is a massive hope here. But I have a glimmer of hope that a new Ridge Racer could come to Switch 2. I’ve been waiting a long time and will be extremely happy, If Ridge Racer 8 comes,” said one fan.
