An analyst recently revealed that Samsung Electronics is currently developing a smartphone with both horizontal and a vertical hinge, so when it’s folded vertically, the screen is on the outside. However, fold the device horizontally, and the screen is on the inside, thus protecting it from falls. Since the multi-fold smartphone has plenty of screen real estate, it’s only logical for Samsung to include S Pen support, but that has not yet been confirmed.
Other rumored features include an improved under-display camera system on both the internal as well as external displays, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor, and a 4400mAh battery. Aesthetically, it will look mostly the same as the Z Fold 3, including the narrow external display and a rectangular inner screen. When can you expect to see the device? At Samsung’s mid-year Unpacked event most likely.
