Samsung filed three different design patents on August 26, 2019 with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) and the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) database. They preview what could be the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, or at least three variants of their next-generation folding smartphone. Out back, there’s a triple camera setup, and once you flip it open, the device becomes a tablet of sorts. Read more for the patent and additional pictures.

The third variant has a notch right in the top middle of the main display, but when folded, you see a secondary display that turns the smartphone into a PDA-like device of yesteryear. Camera wise, there’s three out back, two camera in the notch and a single camera up front. There’s no word yet on when we may see a prototype of these devices, but most are suggesting Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona during February 24-27, 2020.
