No, the Samsung Shortcut Sneaker isn’t a late April Fools’ Day joke, but rather a fully-functional smart device with smartphone control. That’s right, the wearer can perform certain actions on your smartphone with different gestures.
Performing a certain action with the sneakers causes your Samsung smartphone to respond, such as making phone calls or playing music by dancing. This is achieved through built-in motion sensors in the sole of the sneakers that continuously track the position in relation to each other. Currently, there are five unique movements that trigger five shortcuts. Interested? Join Samsung Members by July 9th for a chance to win one of six pairs.
