Segway Apex Electric Motorcycle

This isn’t your average Segway mobility device, just a full-fledged electric motorcycle. Called the Apex, it’s the first new addition to the company’s Intelligent Mobility Product Line, which includes the upcoming Ninebot eMoped and Ninebot eScooter. This bike is rumored to be based on the Yamaha R6 chassis, and can allegedly hit 60 MPH in a mere 2.9-seconds, while topping out at 125 mph.

There’s no other information available about the technical specifications, but from the video above, we can see that there is no left clutch lever or shifter, which means it’s probably using a direct drive single speed transmission. The rear brake keeps the foot lever, and it appears to use belt drive. We’ll keep you posted as more information is released next week at CES 2020.
