Shokz OpenDots ONE are the company’s first clip-on, open-ear earbuds, and many are buzzing about them. Why? These earbuds clip onto the outer ear with a U-shaped, flexible nickel-titanium JointArc wrapped in soft silicone, weighing just 6.5g each. They’re super light, comfy for all-day wear, and don’t interfere with glasses or hats, unlike traditional earhooks.
They use air conduction (not bone conduction) with Bassphere Technology—dual 11.8mm drivers in a spherical module that mimic a 16mm driver for punchy bass and crisp highs. DirectPitch tech minimizes sound leakage, so you get immersive sound while staying aware of your surroundings. They’re also Shokz’s first with Dolby Audio for richer sound, though some say it’s subtle.

Plus, there’s no left/right earbud designation—Dynamic Ear Detection auto-adjusts stereo channels, so you can clip them on either ear. They offer 10 hours of playback (40 with the wireless-charging case), IP54 water resistance for sweat or light rain, and multipoint pairing for two devices. The Shokz App lets you tweak EQ modes, touch controls, and even locate lost earbuds.
Early reviewers praise the bass and comfort but note touch controls can be somewhat finicky. At $199, they’re cheaper than Bose’s $299 Ultra Open but pricier than alternatives like Soundcore AeroClip.
